We know having a well-prepared duffel bag when you travel is crucial. A properly planned bag goes a long way while traveling. Our packing list covers all the essentials, from clothing and personal care items. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or a first-timer, we’ve got you covered. Bag 

First, you need to get some good-quality bags to pack your clothing. For the trek, you would need- 

 

We advise you to buy waterproof bags made out of good quality materials. Since your bags will be traveling further into dirt, rain, and muddy paths, opting for the best quality bags is best. You can get them in your home country or even buy them in Kathmandu. 

Clothing

Be prepared to embrace Nepal’s weather conditions for your next holiday. These are the clothing items that are necessary for the trek. 

  • Insulated waterproof jacket
  • Fleece or a down jacket for warmth
  • Waterproof and breathable pants
  • Thermal base layers (tops and bottoms)
  • Quick-dry hiking pants
  • Moisture-wicking hiking socks
  • Warm gloves and hat
  • Scarf or neck gaiter
  • Sun hat or cap for sun protection
  • Sunglasses with UV protection
  • Sturdy waterproof hiking boots
  • Gaiters (optional but recommended for keeping snow and debris out of boots)

Equipment

  • Sleeping bag rated for sub-zero temperatures
  • Trekking poles for stability and support
  • Headlamp with extra batteries
  • Water bottles or hydration system (at least 2 liters capacity)
  • Snacks and energy bars for on-the-go fuel
  • High SPF sunscreen and lip balm

Can we rent gear in Kathmandu? 

Yes, you can rent trekking gear in Kathmandu. There are several rental shops in Kathmandu where you can rent hiking boots, trekking poles, mountain boots, etc. 

 

What kind of backpack is recommended? 

 We recommend you carry a day backpack of approximately 20-22 Liter.

 

What kind of plugs or adapters should I bring? 

Electric plugs in Nepal are two or three round points. You can find Type C with two round points, type D with three round pins in a triangular pattern, and plug type M has three round pins. And the power voltage is 230V / 250 HZ. Hence, you must bring a universal travel adapter to charge your electrical devices.

Do I need to bring my own toiletries? 

You are advised to bring your own set of toiletries for the trek.
